Today the boys all went on a field trip. They visited the local grocery store for a big tour. I didn't go as I had to work but Daddy took them. I guess they had fun. They seemed to remember more this year than last. And as they were telling me about it I realized just how exciting a grocery store can be for a bunch of 5 and 3/4 year
olds. They were amazed by the loading dock, the box crusher, the big freezer, saw some lobsters, got a yummy cookie. It's cute to hear them tell the story. Next Wednesday we go to Pizza
Uno for a tour of the pizza place and the kids all get to make their own. Cody and Dylan did this last year but this will be Tyler's first year.
I've been out of work at 3 the past couple of days as my mom had to have surgery. She had a fibroid tumor and
polyp that needed removed. Surgery went well and she is recovering. Can I just say that I love leaving work at 3. I feel like I have so much more energy getting home then than I do at 5. My nights seem so much more relaxed. To bad that is ending tomorrow! :(
Hoping for the rain to stay away tomorrow. The boys have their last practice of
teeball before their game on Monday. I am really hoping they get to have it.
Commercials.....I'm beginning to hate them. I took the boys tonight to
Penney's as they were in desperate need of new sneakers. Well they have been seeing on TV commercials for
Sketchers Airators. So we just HAD to get them. Thankfully they had the ones they picked out in their sizes. And these are for good.
Yah, I'm one of those moms. They aren't wearing them out to play in the yard and they aren't wearing them to
teeball. School and "good" is it. We'll see how long this last.
Off to watch Idol. Can't wait to see who the final 2 are. My
predictions are: Danny and Adam.
