Every little boy needs......
A Nerf Gun! I get a call today from my Mom. She had two very upset little boys because all the other neighbor boys had nerf guns and they didn't. So I am such a good Mom because I went on lunch to Toys-r-us and got them each a gun. They were so excited when I got home. They have played outside all day. I have a feeling they will crash tonight. While home though I saw Tyler riding the big boy bike - the one with training wheels. I couldn't believe it. He's not even 3 yet and he is riding a bike. He peddles with no problem, turns it around while riding it. He just amazes me at what he does for his age. I guess having two older brothers so close in age has made him grow up a little quicker. His speech is getting better. Still need to work on that but he'll get it. He's a lot clearer with his words than he used to be. They all amaze me! One of the best things about being a Mom is watching what they can do.

"Hey Mom, what are these?"
Afraid to keep reading? It isn't that bad. I took the boys to Fashion Bug tonight as I wanted to pick up a shirt I have been thinking about since Sunday when I was there. Ever do that? Leave the store and then think "I should of just gotten it". I do it often - so I went back for it tonight. I gave the boys strict instructions not to run around the store but Cody and Tyler apparently didn't hear me. So as I was looking at the jewelry, Cody is over in the bra section. Picking bras off the rack and asking "mom, what are these?"................... they are bras Cody - now put them back. He has seen mine but these were the padded ones - I don't need extra help in that department. Crack me up!
I had a follow up appointment for my face today. When I went last the doctor prescribed an antibiotic and two creams to use. Well I have used the creams every morning. I will admit I didn't stay on top of the Rx. However, a few days ago I remembered it and started taking it again. Since taking it I have noticed my face clearing right up. Hmm...so the drug is doing the trick. The 2 creams haven't touched it. So now my concern is what happens when I am done. The doctor said today that once the script is done, to use the creams an additional month and then stop. See what happens. OR if I get done with the script and still notice red, raised spots on my face to get the refill and take that, then when that is done use the creams another month and see what happens. So basically - I am at a 'see what happens'... He also checked out the cyst on my chest. It's been red but I think that is going away. He said the cyst is still there and for now he thinks we should leave it alone. We had talked about putting a laser on it to try and reduce the redness but he feels that might have a negative affect on me. So I am fine with leaving it alone. I wasn't able to wear necklaces because they all fell right where the cyst is but lately it hasn't bothered me. One nice thing is I left the office with no follow up appointment. He just said to call if I feel the need. I will!

Riding the Quad
The kids went to Tanya's this afternoon and then I picked them up after work. When I got there they were all outside. Someone says "Cody drove the quad". WHAT? Sure enough - Karly went and got out her quad and Cody hopped on and drove it. Karly sat behind him but he had a blast! I was shocked because Cody is my reserved child. The one who would rather stay inside than go out. He's my artsy kid. My "out door" boys (Tyler and Dylan) didn't want anything to do with the quad. But that's OK. And wouldn't you know I didn't have my camera with me. UGH! The bathtub loved them tonight!!!

Sleep Over
Tonight we have a sleep over guest - Karly Jane! She has been anxiously awaiting no school so she could spend the night. Tanya brought her after work tonight and then we took the kids to McDonald's to eat and them to play. They all had a blast and surprisingly we had the place to ourselves for the majority of the time. They have had a great night. No fighting, so hopefully they will be this good for my mom tomorrow. One thing I know - we are having wonderful spring weather so they can get outside.

ALVIN....
We got Alvin and the Chipmunks this weekend! What a cute, cute movie!!! The boys love it and we have watched it about a thousand times. They are reciting lines from it. "yippie-ki-yah, momma setia" (and every time I hear them say it, I can hear Bruce Willis saying "yippie-ki-yah, mother *#**...you know what I mean". I crack up every time Tyler says "wow, chicawowwow"! It's a cute movie!!!!
B-ball Game
We had a great weekend. Saturday was the nicer of the two days. The weatherman is promising nicer weather by the middle of this week so we shall see. Saturday, we got around and headed to the BU event center to watch Caleb play basketball. Trisia and the gang were in town as both Taylor and Caleb had games. The boys had fun! They enjoyed the games but I think they enjoyed running, going to the bathroom, and eating the concession stand food better but they are 4/2 and what do you expect. We watched one game and then I took C&D with me to Walmart and Tyler stayed with Brett. Sat. night we got Karly and Connor for a few hours as Tanya and Shaun had a party to go to. The kids had fun. Connor had us in stitches. He is getting big to fast.

I had a first time moment recently. I remember being a kid and wanting to play outside by myself for the longest time. Dylan has really taken to the neighbor kids. All a few years older than them. Well he wanted to go out and play and I really didn't feel like sitting outside and watching them. (When it gets nicer OK) So I let him go...with many strict rules of staying in the back yard with the other kids. He does great and of course I am checking on him every couple seconds. Really can't believe how big they are getting.
Now I just have to complain. I get the mail the other day and isn't there a bill from Upstate. As I open it I am trying to remember why we would be getting a bill from them. Oh yah, Cody's recent speech evaluation. I figure it can't be that bad..............um, wrong! We owe $199 - are you freaking kidding me. UGH! I was there probably an hour with him. Total bill was around $400. So crazy! So annoying. Like I have that sitting around. It would just seem that the cleft teams could do this type of work for free - or much cheaper cost. After all, it's not like we aren't going to go back to them. I see them twice a year - have done that much atleast for the past 4 years. We have oh about 15 more years of this. Then let's factor in seeing them more every time there is a surgery. And considering we are coming upon the orthodontia stage - yah, they are going to see us lots. So I wonder all the time why we don't have a house - then I get a medical bill and remember! Oh well - I was chosen for this life for some reason. Some days it's just really hard to figure out why?

Lunch Time
Brett has every Friday off. So my Mom usually comes for the morning and then leaves early. A nice way for her to have 1/2 day to run errands and whatever. Plus gives Brett some quality Dad time they he doesn't get during the week. So today, the weather was a bit rainy and he called me at work and asked if I wanted to have lunch. Sounded like a great idea to me. So the boys, Brett and I went to you guessed it - McDonald's for lunch. And not just any plain ole McDonald's....but one with a play land. They ate, played and surprisingly enough didn't give us a hard time when it was time to go. It was hard though for me to go back to work. I was ready to come home and hang out with them.
