2nd Game - kind of commical

So tonight's game was a little bit more interesting. Not sure if we got better or took a step back. The first snag came when we learned the coach wasn't coming. I guess he had to work. So that is tough as the assistant coach was there but he didn't have the line up, didn't know what team we were playing, and the kids really don't know him. And there are way to many kids for 1 person. They have a hard enough time listening to a couple. So....Daddy got to be helper tonight. Which when it was over Brett said he wasn't sure if he could do that all the time. Some of these kids I have no idea why they are playing. I realize that none of them are fantastic and it's not the pro's and these kids are just starting BUT when they won't listen at all, they don't stay on the field, they are off doing god knows what and the parents are no where to be found. It makes it super tough. Me along with a few other mom's feel like we are stepping in. So just those couple of kids make it very hard to keep order amongst the others. Seriously, the parents should see that they have 0% interest in the game and should just go with that. I would!

Dylan hitting....
Cody hittingIn the outfield with Dad....Yes, Brett is dressed up...that's because he was able to come on his lunch. And here is about the funniest thing I have seen in a super long time. Leave it to my children...We are up to bat for the first time in the game..because we didn't have the line up sheet Brett suggested we just bat in number order. So that means Dylan goes first. So he hits and runs to first. GREAT! Then it's Cody's turn. He hits and on his way to first - Dylan should be going to second. Instead, Dylan take a tiny detour and gets the ball in the outfield and throw it to first! OUT! :) LOL......yah, we needed to remind Dylan that they are on the same team and that he shouldn't try to get his brother out. That is what the other team is there to do. OMG!! To freaking funny!
So I'm hoping that next Thursday the kids can get back to a normal game. Hopefully the coach is there.
